What Are the Odds of Losing Blackjack?

There are many factors that go into the odds of losing at blackjack, but some key ones include the number of decks in use, the dealer’s hand (high or low), and the player’s hand. The basic strategy for blackjack is to try and get as close to 21 as possible without going over. If the dealer has a high hand, this makes it harder for the player to hit a card that would bring their total up to 21. If the dealer has a low hand, the player has a better chance of hitting a card that would bring their total up to 21.

The player’s odds of winning also depend on their own hand. A high card (ace, two, three, or four) increases the player’s chances of winning by one point, while a low card (two through ten) decreases the player’s chances of winning by one point.
