What Are the Odds of Red or Black in Roulette?

There are a total of 36 numbers in a roulette wheel. The number that appears on the wheel at any given time is called the “running number.

” You can bet on any number between 1 and 36 – except for the number “18,” which is considered a “black” number.

There are six different bets that you can make on Roulette: numbers, odds, over/under (OU), American, French, and European. The odds bet gives you the chance to make money by betting on the probability of either red (winning) or black (losing) coming up next.

For example, if you place an odds bet on #8, your payout would be $8 for every $100 wagered if #8 comes up as the winning number. If #8 does not come up as the winning number, your payout would be zero dollars – no matter what.

The over/under bet is similar to an odds bet, but it involves wagering on the amount of money that will be wagered instead of just the outcome of the game. For example, if you place an over/under bet on #5, your payout would be $60 ($5 multiplied by $100 wagered) if #5 comes up as the winning number and $0 if #5 does not come up as the winning number.

The American bet is simply betting on red or black without specifying which one. The French bet is exactly like the American bet, but with the exception of two numbers – 2 and 11 – which are considered “black” numbers in France.

The European bet is similar to both the American and French bets, but with the addition of three numbers – 6, 10, and 19 – which are also considered “black” numbers in Europe.
