What Are the Returns on Roulette?

Roulette is a popular casino game that is believed to be an ancient form of gambling. The game is typically played with a single bet, with the player selecting a number from 1 to 36 (or 38 in some versions). The roulette wheel has 36 spaces, numbered from 1 to 18 (or 20 in some versions). A number is then placed on the player’s chosen number spot.

The game begins with the roulette ball being placed on one of the eighteen (or 20) numbered slots. The ball is then spun around and dropped into one of the three pockets at the base of the wheel. If the ball falls into any of the red numbers, it pays out as indicated; if it falls into any of the green numbers, it does nothing. If it falls into one of the black numbers, it gives the player double their bet.
