What Are the Rules of Poker Dice?

Poker dice are a variation of poker that is played with a set of six different sized dice. There are three different types of poker dice: six-sided, five-sided, and four-sided.

The different types of poker dice have different denominations, which are used to determine the payouts for hands.

The basic rules of poker dice are as follows:

1. Each player rolls all six dice and piles them face down in front of them.
2. The player with the Lowest die roll starts the discard pile by flipping over the top die and putting it in the middle of the players’ hands.
3. The player with the highest die roll starts the draw pile by flipping over the bottom die and putting it in the middle of the players’ hands.
4. Players take turns rolling all six dice, and then counting how many points each die shows (1 point for a six, 2 points for a five, 3 points for a four, and so on).

5. Players must place any number shown on a die beside their current hand rank (1s through 6s) in order to continue playing that hand. For example, if a player has a two showing on their third die, they would put it beside their two card rank (two through six).
6. If at any time a player has no more legal moves available in that hand, they lose that hand automatically and must re-roll all their dice before playing another hand.
7. If two or more players have the same number showing on one or more of their dice, then those players compare their hands rank (1s through 6s) and whoever has the lower rank loses that hand. For example, if Player A has a one showing on their third die and Player B has a two showing on their third die, then Player B would lose that hand since their rank is lower than A’s (1s through 6s).
