What Color Is a Roulette Wheel?

A roulette wheel is a cylindrical chamber with a series of numbered pockets on its interior surface. The ball is placed in the chamber, and when the wheel is spun, it causes the ball to randomly fall into one of the pockets.

The dealer then takes away any money that has been placed in that pocket, and replaces it with another ball. The game proceeds in this manner until someone wins.

The color of a roulette wheel is not important, but the layout is. There are generally three separate sections on a roulette wheel: red, green, and black.

Red is the most popular color because it leads to the most wins for the player. In addition, there are often special rules that apply to particular colors, such as French roulette which uses yellow balls.
