What Do the Colors of Poker Chips Mean?

When you sit down to play poker, your first order of business is to choose the right table and the right game. After that, you’ll need the right poker chips.

Different poker games have different sets of rules governing what kind of chips are used. In some games, like Omaha, you’ll use standard American poker chips.

In others, like Texas Hold’em, you’ll use specially designed chips with different colors on them.

Each color has a specific meaning in poker. Black chips are used as wild cards, and they can be used to take any other card or chip off the table.

Green chips are used for making hands with two cards and one pair, while red chips are used for hands with two cards and two pairs.

Knowing which color represents which hand is an important part of playing poker. If you’re able to read your opponents well and guess which hands they’re likely to play, you’ll be able to make better decisions about what to do with your own cards.
