What Does 3 Mean in Blackjack?

The three of clubs is a high-stakes hand in blackjack. It is considered a “natural” or “raw” hand, meaning that it is not subject to any of the normal rules that govern the game.

In most cases, a player who receives a three of clubs in blackjack is automatically given an advantage over the dealer.

The dealer must draw two cards before he or she candeal another hand. If the dealer receives a three of clubs, he or she must immediately put it into the discard pile and give the player an additional card.

Under normal playing conditions, this additional card would usually be a ten or a face card (a two, three, or four). However, because the three of clubs is a high-stakes hand, some casinos may rule that the additional card should instead be an eight or a nine (meaning that the player would receive an extra bet).

It’s important to remember that even if you receive an extra card with your three of clubs, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll win the hand. The dealer’s hand can also be improved by drawing one of the high-paying cards – such as an ace or king – which would give him or her a better chance of beating you.
