What Does a $5 Blackjack Pay?

The basic strategy for playing blackjack is to try to achieve a high total by playing fewer rounds than the dealer and avoiding losing hands. For example, if the dealer is showing a 9-card hand, the player might try to stay in with a 7 or an 8.

If the dealer shows an Ace, 5, or Jack, the player might want to switch to a 2 or 3.

A $5 blackjack pays out as follows:

A hand of five cards (two face down and three face up) totals twenty-five. A hand of four cards (one face down and three face up) totals sixteen.

A hand of three cards (one face down and two face up) totals nine.
