What Does Green Do in Roulette?

The color green is associated with money in many cultures. In France, for example, the number “6” is considered to be the lucky number because it is the sixth letter of the alphabet and it is pronounced “gree”.

Roulette wheel gamblers often place bets on numbers that are divisible by six, such as 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10.

Some believe that placing a bet on a number that is divisible by six increases your chances of winning. Other people believe that the color green has no influence on Roulette outcomes.

However, there is some evidence to support the notion that betting on green numbers can increase your chances of winning.

A study published in Scientific American in 2006 found that gamblers who bet on green numbers were more likely to win than those who didn’t. The study used data from 18 different casinos around the world and analyzed how often different colors were chosen by players who won and lost money.

The results showed that when gamblers bet on green numbers, they were about twice as likely to win as when they didn’t bet on green numbers.
