What Does the Dealer See When They Check for Blackjack?

The dealer sees a blackjack table with five decks of cards. They will also see the player, who is sitting in front of them at the table. The dealer will use their hand to count the number of cards they are holding, and then they will place those cards face down in front of them. The player will then flip over the top card of their deck, which is their draw. The dealer then flips over the next card, which is their hold.

If this card matches the draw, then the player gets to keep the bet and play another turn. If not, then the dealer replaces the card with a new one from their deck and keeps the bet. If a third card is flipped over that matches the hold, then the hold wins and no further action happens on that turn. If no card matches, then play passes to the next player clockwise around the table.
