What Happens if a Player Gets 21 in Blackjack?

There are different ways that a player can achieve a 21 in blackjack. One way is to get a combination of cards that totals 21. Another way is to get two black jacks in a row. If a player achieves either of these results, they are said to have hit 21 and are awarded the Blackjack Bonus.

The Blackjack Bonus is generally equal to the dealer’s hand value plus 2. If the player has achieved 21 using either of these methods, they are then dealt another hand of blackjack.

If a player gets 21 using any other method, they are not awarded the Blackjack Bonus and instead receive a loss based on their original bet. For example, if a player bets $5 and gets 21, they would lose $10.

If a player bets $10 and gets 21, they would lose $20. In both cases, the player would still receive their original bet back minus whatever was lost.
