What Is a Blackjack Bet?

Blackjack is a casino game that is played with two cards, a hand and a deck of cards. The player bets on the number of cards that will be shown, either face up or face down, and then the dealer deals four new cards to both players. The player then decides whether to keep or discard the new card. If the player discards the new card, they receive a point for their bet (1 point if it is an Ace, 2 points if it is a two through ten, and so on).

If they keep the new card, they add it to their hand. Play then proceeds as normal.

The game can be played either as single or double exposure. In single exposure, the player only has access to their hand and must choose whether to keep or discard any new cards. Double exposure allows the player to see both their hand and the four new cards that have been dealt.

This can be advantageous in cases where there are valuable high-value cards that are not shown in the original hand. It can also be advantageous in cases where there are valuable low-value cards that are shown in the original hand but are not considered likely to be drawn again in future hands.

In blackjack, there are two types of bets: a basic bet and an advanced bet. The basic bet is simply a wager on whether the first nine or ten cards will be shown (face up or face down).

The advanced bet is a wager on one specific card (either high or low). For example, if you were betting on whether the third card would be an Ace or two through ten, your advanced bet would be wager on Ace.
