What Is a Section Bet in Roulette?

A section bet is a type of bet where a player wagers on the outcome of a particular section of the wheel, such as the number 2, 3, or 4. This type of bet is not available at all casinos, but is very common in European roulette.

Section bets are also known as “box” or “corner” bets.

The basic principle behind section betting is that if you bet on the number 2, for example, and the wheel lands on 2, you will win your bet (assuming no other numbers in that section are also hit). If the wheel lands on any other number in that section, your bet will lose.

So if you place a $10 bet on the number 2 and the wheel lands on 2, you will win $20. If the wheel lands on any other number in that section, your $10 bet will lose.

There are a few things to keep in mind when making a section bet:
-You must place your bet before the wheel starts spinning;
-You must place your bet on the desired section of the wheel;
-You cannot make multiple section bets on different numbers;
-Your odds of winning are always based on how many sections are hit before your chosen number.
