A soft 19 blackjack is a variation of blackjack that uses a single deck of cards. The basic rule of blackjack is to hit (or “stand”) on any number between one and twenty-one, and to lose if you are dealt a number greater than 21.
A soft 19 blackjack differs from regular blackjack in that the dealer must also hit on any number between one and nineteen (instead of just on any number between one and twenty-one). This makes it slightly more difficult for the player to win, but does not change the basic strategy of the game.
A soft 19 blackjack is generally considered to be a “soft” form of blackjack, meaning that it is less common than traditional blackjack, but can still be profitable if played correctly.
