Blackjack is a popular casino game that is played with a standard 52-card deck. The object of the game is to either achieve a hand that totals 21 or more points, or to beat the dealer’s hand. Blackjack is played with a standard betting format known as “basic blackjack.” In basic blackjack, the player bets either one, two, or three coins. The dealer also sets aside a number of cards, typically 3-5. The player then selects one of these cards and places it face down in front of them.
The player then looks at the remaining cards and decides whether to keep or discard any of them. If the player decides to keep any of the cards, they add these cards together and compare this total with the sum total of the Dealer’s upcards (3-5). If the player’s total is higher, they win the hand. If not, the Dealer takes all of the player’s bet plus any additional card(s) from their hand and plays them as new hands are dealt.
