What Is CVCX in Blackjack?

The card counting concept of “CVCX” or “counting wild cards” is a very important part of Blackjack, and it can significantly increase your chances of winning. When playing Blackjack, it is important to understand the different types of hands that can be dealt, and how to use the counting rules to make the best decisions.

There are two basic types of hands in Blackjack – regular hands and wild cards. A regular hand consists of five cards – two face cards (Kings or Queens) and three other cards.

A wild card hand includes any combination of cards – two Kings, two Queens, a Jack, an Ace, or a 10.

When counting cards, you will want to keep track of both the number of face cards in a regular hand and the number of wild cards in a hand. The basic rule is that you add up the total value of all the face cards in a regular hand, and then subtract the value of any wild card(s).

For example, if you are dealt a 5-card regular hand with 2 Kings and 1 Queen, your total value would be 7. However, if you are also given a 3-card wild card (Jack being counted as 1 wild card), your total value would be 10 (7 + Jack = 10).

There are some special considerations that need to be taken into account when counting cards with wildcards. For example, if you are dealt a 5-card regular hand with 2 Kings and 1 Queen as well as a 3-card wild card (Jack being counted as 1 wild card), your total value would be 12 (7 + 2 Kings + 1 Queen = 12).

However, if you were also given another 2-card wild card (Ace being counted as 1 wild card), your total value would now be 14 (7 + 2 Kings + Ace = 14).
