What Is Side Bet Blackjack?

Side bet blackjack is a variation of blackjack that allows the player to wager money on the side, rather than playing against the dealer. This type of blackjack is played with a standard 52-card deck, but there are two additional cards that are used as side bets.

The first side bet card is placed face down on the table between the player and dealer, while the second side bet card is placed face up in front of the player. The player can either accept or decline the side bet, but if they decline it, they must replace the second side bet card with another card from their hand.

The goal of side bet blackjack is to make as many hands as possible where both bets (the first side bet and the second side bet) are matched together. This allows players to increase their chances of winning by betting more money on each hand.

Because this variation of blackjack is played with a standard deck, it is also considered a form of poker.
