The Rule of Poker is the basic principle that governs the game of poker. The rule states that in order to win at poker, one must have a better hand than their opponents. The best hand is typically described as having five cards of the same rank, such as a five of spades. If two or more players have the same best hand, the one with the Lowest card value (i.e.
the worst hand) is eliminated from the game. This process is repeated until one player has a better hand, at which point they are declared the winner.
