What Numbers Should You Split in Blackjack?

When playing blackjack, it is important to understand the different card values and how to split them in order to make the best decision. In general, there are four card values in blackjack: aces (1), 2s (2), 3s (3), and 4s (4). The following are four guidelines for splitting cards:

1. Always split aces and face cards evenly.

2. If two cards are of the same rank, always split them between the player and the dealer.

For example, if an ace is split between the player and dealer, then a two would also need to be split between the player and dealer.

3. If one card is higher than another, always split it evenly between the player and dealer.

For example, if an ace is higher than a two, then that one would need to be divided equally between the player and dealer.

4. If two cards are of different ranks, always split them evenly between the player and dealer.

For example, if a two is higher than an ace but not as high as a three, then that two would need to be divided equally between the player and dealer.
