What Percentage Does the Dealer Bust in Blackjack?

In blackjack, the house edge is traditionally about 2.5 percent. That means that for every 100 hands played, the house would win about 22 hands and lose about 78 hands. This percentage varies from casino to casino, but it’s generally consistent throughout the game.

In theory, this means that for every 10,000 hands played, the house might bust once. But in practice, casinos are quite good at protecting their money and it’s more likely that the dealer will bust only a handful of times over the course of many thousands of hands.
