Poker is played with five cards. The highest card, the jack, is the first card dealt and the last card dealt is the aces. After that, the 2, 3, 4, and 5 cards are dealt one at a time face down. The player to the dealer’s left starts the hand by flipping over one of the face down cards.
The other players then have to either call or raise if they have a better hand.
The best five-card hand is two pairs (two different cards of the same rank), a flush (five cards of the same suit), three of a kind (three different cards of the same kind), and straight (a sequence of five cards without any gaps).
