What Should You Not Do in Blackjack?

There are a few cardinal rules you should never break in blackjack:

1. Don’t let your cards run down. In order to make the most of your hand, try to keep your cards around 16 or 17.
2. Don’t stand on any particular hand. It’s okay to take a hit now and then, but try not to bet too much on any one hand.

3. Keep an eye on the dealer’s upcards (and don’t forget to check your own). If you see that the dealer has a high-card (a 10 or a J), it might be a good idea to stay away from that particular table.
4. Don’t overbet. If you’re betting more than you have in chips, you’re probably playing too fast and not taking the time to assess the situation.
