The highest-ranking suit in poker is hearts. This is because it ranks highest in the order of importance when it comes to hands. A hand with a high heart value (e.g. two sevens) is more powerful than a hand with a lower heart value (e.g.
two spades). Consequently, most professional poker players prefer to play hands with high heart values, especially when they are playing against other professional poker players.
