BlackJack is SpongeBob’s pet snail. He first appears in the episode “The Curse of Bikini Bottom” where SpongeBob and Patrick are playing a game of snail racing. Patrick loses and gets cursed with a large, black, and scaly snail as his pet. SpongeBob tries to get rid of the snail, but it is very hard to get rid of.
Eventually, BlackJack helps SpongeBob get rid of the snail by eating it. BlackJack then lives with SpongeBob and Patrick forever.
