Why Is Blackjack Called Cosh?

Blackjack is a popular casino game that is based on the card game of 21. In blackjack, the player bets against the dealer, with the aim of achieving a higher score than the dealer.

The most common way to win in blackjack is to achieve a score of 21, which is known as “busting”.

One of the ways that blackjack can be played differently is by cashing in certain cards. In cashing, a player discards all of their cards except for one and then tries to achieve a higher score by playing those cards.

This is why cashing in blackjack is often referred to as “cosh”, which comes from the old card game cosh (pronounced “kosh”).
