DS stands for Double Spike. When a player has two cards of the same rank, for example 2-2, their hand is said to have a DS.
Blackjack players can use this information to improve their chances of hitting a higher card. .
There are a couple different ways to use a DS. The most common way is to double down on any two cards of the same rank, like in this example:
Player A has two 2s and wants to double down on them. This would give them four cards, all of which are 2s or 3s.
Another way to use a DS is when you have two cards that are not of the same rank. In this example, Player A has two 6s and wants to hit a 10.
This would give Player A three different card combinations (6s, 10, and 5) in order to hit the 10.
