Are All Roulette Wheels Laid Out the Same?

There is no one definitive answer to this question. Some casinos use traditional roulette wheels with 36 numbered pockets, while others may use more modern, computerized versions that have anywhere from 26 to 50 pockets.

Roulette wheels can also be custom-made to the exact specifications of a particular casino. .

In general, however, it is generally believed that all roulette wheels are laid out in a similar manner. The wheel is divided into six vertical sections, each of which contains nine pockets.

The numbers 1 through 18 are located at the top of the wheel, while the numbers 0 and 00 are located at the bottom.

As players place bets on various number combinations, the ball is spun around the roulette wheel and eventually drops into one of the pockets on one of the six sections. If a player bets on a number that appears on one of the player’s chosen numbers, they will earn points based on how often that particular combination appears on the wheel.
