Are Vegas Roulette Tables Rigged?

As with any game of chance, there is always the potential for some sort of rigging taking place at Vegas roulette tables. This is especially true given how easily money can be exchanged hands on these tables – and how little regulation exists in this regard.

There have been many allegations over the years of roulette wheels being rigged in order to give players an artificial advantage. In 2010, a group of European scientists released a paper claiming to have evidence that the ball is purposely biased in favor of the house – meaning that the odds of hitting a particular number are not actually 50/50.

Despite the claims, there has never been any solid proof that roulette wheels are rigged in this way. Nevertheless, it’s always worth keeping an eye out for anything suspicious – especially if you’re feeling particularly lucky at the table. After all, if there’s one thing that can always go wrong in Vegas.
