Does Alex Rider Appear in Russian Roulette?

Russian Roulette is a 2003 novel by David Baldacci, and the seventh novel in the Jack Reacher series. It is based on the short story “The Fix” from the collection Everything Is Illuminated. The novel tells the story of a retired FBI agent, J.T. Reacher, who is asked to help solve a murder in Paris. While there, he meets a girl named Eleanor who leads him to believe that her father was murdered because he was about to reveal a conspiracy involving the Russian president and the American president.

Reacher decides to investigate and ends up getting caught up in a conspiracy involving the Russian president and members of his family. In the end, Reacher realizes that the girl’s father was killed because he was going to expose the conspiracy, not because he was involved in it himself. He arrests all of the people involved and saves Eleanor from being hurt. This leads him to realize that she is actually his daughter and they reunite. Russian Roulette does not appear in this novel; it only appears in the short story “The Fix”.
