Does MIT Still Have a Blackjack Team?

On September 26, 2006, the MIT Blackjack Team was officially disbanded. According to team captain, John Yoo, “It just wasn’t working out.

The team was never very successful and there was a lot of internal competition.” Despite the lack of success, the blackjack team was highly respected on campus and gained a reputation for being one of the best in the country.

Despite disbanding, MIT still has one of the best blackjack teams in the country. This is evidenced by their recent win at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) blackjack tournament.

Even though they disbanded, this team is still highly competitive and capable of winning big tournaments.
