Who Was Part of the MIT Blackjack Team?

In December of 2002, the MIT Blackjack Team became the first team to ever win a million dollars in a single night at blackjack. The team consisted of four students, two men and two women.

The team’s leader was Rajesh Arora, and its main strategist was John Hennigan.

The team’s strategy was to play tight and limit their losses while playing against higher-ranked teams. They also employed a number of unique strategies, such as using random number generators to help them determine when to hit or stand.

Despite their success, the team members remain relatively anonymous. Arora has spoken about the team’s strategy, but Hennigan and the other women have largely stayed silent.

It is likely that they will remain so as they continue to rake in wins on the blackjack tables.
