Does the Dealer Automatically Win a Tie in Blackjack?

Tiebreaking in blackjack is based on a player’s hand rank. The dealer hands out cards face down until the player either takes all of the cards, or the dealer gives him a blackjack. The player can then compare their hand rank to either the dealer’s hand rank or any other number that has been predetermined by the casino. If the player’s hand rank is higher than the dealer’s, then the player wins the hand and the dealer loses.

If the player’s hand rank is lower than the dealer’s, then the dealer wins. If both players have an equal hand rank, then the hand is a tie and no one wins or loses.
