How Are Cards Dealt in Blackjack in a 2 Player Game?

In a two player blackjack game, each player is dealt two cards face down. The player on the dealer’s left starts the game and may either place a bet or draw a card. The player on the dealer’s right may either place a bet or draw a card. If the dealer places a bet and the player on the dealer’s right does not want to play, they may pass. If both players place bets, the first card is turned over and play proceeds as normal.

After each player has played one card, the next card is turned over and play proceeds as normal. The goal of the game is to get as close to 21 as possible without going over. If both players are tied at 21 after playing all their cards, then one of them must surrender (give up). In a 2-player blackjack game with no side bets, if both players are still tied after playing all their cards, then the player with the higher hand (the better hand) wins.
