How Do You Play Pyramid Poker?

Pyramid Poker is a variation of poker that is played with a pyramid structure. The game is similar to regular poker, but the goal is to collect sets of cards that total thirteen.

The player who collects the most sets in the course of the hand wins the hand.

The game is played with a standard 52-card deck. The first player, or dealer, starts the game by placing two cards face down on the table. The next player, or ‘pitcher’ begins by drawing one card from the deck and then placing it face up on top of the first card.

The player then drAWS another card and places it on top of the second card. This process continues until all seven cards have been drawn and placed on the table.

At this point, both players have four cards in their hand and are trying to form sets of three or four cards. A set is formed when two cards are placed together such as a 2-2-2 or 3-3-2.

Once a set has been formed, it can be discarded if desired or used to improve a hand. For example, if someone has a 3-3-2 set and a 4-4-3 in their hand, they can discard the 4-4-3 to form a 5-3-2 set and improve their hand.

The next step in the game is to create an Ace high or low hand. To do this, players must place one card from their hand on top of any previous card in their stack (Ace high) or underneath any previous card in their stack (Ace low).

For example, if someone has a 3-3-2 set and an Ace in their hand, they would place the Ace on top of the 3-3-2 set to create their Ace high hand and would then play another card from their hand.

Once both players have created hands, each player plays one more card (if necessary) and then reveals their hands. The player with the highest rank (Ace high or low) in their stack capitalizes on any sets that were created during the course of the hand and collects any money that was bet by other players.

If two players have an equal rank in their stack, then whichever player played last wins the hand. If there is still no winner after all plays have been made, then the next player starts playing from the bottom of the deck.
