How Does Double Deck Blackjack Work?

Double deck blackjack is one of the most popular casino games, and for good reason. The game is simple to understand, and the strategy required to win is relatively straightforward.

At its core, double deck blackjack is a two-player game where each player receives two cards. The object of the game is to get as close to 21 as possible without going over.

To begin playing, each player selects one card to keep and flips the other card over. Once both cards are revealed, the player with the higher number starts playing first. To play a card, the player either places it on the table face up or behind their back.

If they place it on the table, they take another turn playing after the next player has played. If they place it behind their back, they can either discard it or keep it and take another turn.

The goal of blackjack is to make as few passes as possible while still remaining in debt. When a player reaches 19 or 20 points total (even if they are not yet at 21), that player automatically loses the hand and any chips they may have bet.

In order to win a hand of double deck blackjack, a player must make at least two passes before reaching 21 points total. There are a few different strategies that can be employed when playing this game, but the most important thing is to stick to them and never deviate from your plan.

Although double deck blackjack can be a challenging game to play, there are ways to increase your chances of success. By following basic strategy guidelines and playing within your limitations, you should be able to win more hands than you lose.
