Owo Blackjack is a variant of blackjack that is played with a single deck of cards. The object of the game is to score as close to 21 as possible without going over.
Like regular blackjack, players receive two cards, one face up and one face down. The goal is to make as many passes as possible before being forced to draw, in order to improve one’s chances of hitting a high score. .
Players can either stand or shuffle. When playing with a dealer, the dealer will place one card face down and then turn over the next card, adding it to the player’s hand.
Play then continues clockwise around the table.
If the player has an Ace showing, they are awarded 10 points and can either take another card or stand. If they have a 2 through 10 showing, they are awarded 1 point for each card up to 10, and then lose 1 point for each card past 10.
If they are dealt an Ace again after taking a card, they automatically lose 1 point and stand.
If the player cannot make a valid hit (i.e., has fewer than two cards remaining), they must draw cards until they have at least two cards remaining in their hand.
If they cannot make a valid hit after drawing cards, they must take another turn at the black jack table and forfeit any money that was wagered on that particular round of play.
Owo Blackjack is similar to regular blackjack in that it relies on hitting a combination of numbers in order to winnings; however, there are several differences that can affect how successful one may be in scoring points with Owo Blackjack. For example, in regular blackjack players are able to double down on any number if it appears at least twice consecutively on their hands (for instance 2-2-2 would be worth four points). In Owo Blackjack this option is not available; doubling down only applies when all other cards are equal (for instance 2-2-3 would not be considered a double). Additionally, while regular blackjack allows players to split any number between hands (for instance splitting 5-5-5), Owo Blackjack does not allow this action.
Finally, while regular blackjack allows players to double down up to four times before being forced to draw cards (i.e., if they have two 2s and two Aces), Owo Blackjack only allows players to double up twice before being forced to draw cards (i.e., if they have two Aces).
In conclusion, while Owo Blackjack may seem like an easier game than traditional black jack – due to some of its restrictions – it is still a complex game that requires strategy in order to maximize one’s chances of winning money.
