Blackjack is a casino game that is played with a deck of cards. Players attempt to score points by taking cards that add up to certain sums, called hands.
The player with the highest hand at the end of the round wins the game.
To play Blackjack, players are dealt two cards face down. The player then looks at their hand and decides whether or not to keep it or surrender it.
If the player keeps their hand, they are then given another card and must decide whether to add it to their current total or discard it. If the player decides to discard their card, they then add the value of the card they just discarded to their current total.
If the player has a total that is equal to or greater than 21, they are considered to have won the hand and receive a payout from the casino. If the player has a total that is less than or equal to 21, they lose the hand and receive a payout from the casino based on how much money they were betting when they were dealt their original two cards.
