A Vanderhall blackjack costs $5 to play. It is a six-deck game that has 21 cards. The object of the game is to get as close to 21 without going over. There are rules that players must follow, such as sticking to a hand and not counting cards, in order to play this game. The dealer turns over the first card and then each player either takes that card or passes. If a player takes the card, they add it to their hand and replace any other cards that were originally in their hand with the new card. If a player passes, the next player either takes the card or drAWS one from the deck. If a player drAWS a card and it is equal to or higher than the number on the previous card, they put that card on the bottom of their stack and take another turn.
The goal is to get as close to 21 without going over. When a player goes over, they lose their bet and any money that was placed on that bet. A player can also lose if another player has more points than they do at the end of the hand. There are different ways to win based on how close a player is to 21 when all cards are played. For example, if two players have 18 points each and one player has an 8 and a 9 while the other has an Ace and two 2s, the first player would win because they have an Ace higher than both 2s played by the other players. There are also bonus rounds where players can win additional money if they achieve certain goals during a round such as getting three of a kind or four of a kind within a certain number of hands played.
