Is Poker GTO Solved?

Poker has long been considered a skill-based game, with a limited number of winning hands. However, recent studies have shown that poker can also be solved using computer algorithms.

This has led to the question of whether poker is actually a “gambling-based strategy” or “skill-based strategy” game.

The answer to this question depends on how one defines “solved.” If solved means that a computer can reliably win at poker using fixed, pre-determined strategies, then poker is definitely solved.

However, if solved means that a computer can reliably win at poker by adapting its strategies based on the cards it’s dealt, then poker is not solved. In other words, there is still room for human input in the game of poker.

This debate over whether or not poker is solved is important because it has implications for legislations around gambling. If poker is solved, then it would be considered a form of gambling and would be subject to different regulations than other games such as chess.

On the other hand, if poker is not solved, then it would be considered a skill-based game and would not be subject to different regulations than other games such as chess.
