Is Roulette Rigged?

There is no easy answer when it comes to the question of whether or not roulette is rigged. On one hand, it appears that the random number generator used to generate the ball numbers is theoretically fair – meaning that each ball has an equal chance of being drawn.

However, there are a number of potential ways in which the game could be rigged, such as by manipulating the ball distribution or by controlling which bets are placed. As a result, it is difficult to say with certainty whether roulette is fundamentally fair or not.

Nevertheless, a number of studies have shown that even when roulette appears to be fair, players tend to outperform expectations by a significant margin. This suggests that roulette may not be completely random – and could, in fact, be rigged in favour of those who are skilled at playing it.

While this does not prove that roulette is rigged, it does suggest that players should be careful when betting on the game and should only do so if they have a good understanding of how it works.
