What Are Outside Numbers in Roulette?

Outside numbers are the numbers that are not in the player’s inside number combination. Roulette is a game where players bet on the number that will be rolled on a wheel. The wheel has 36 slots, each of which has six numbers.

When the wheel is spun, it randomly selects one of the six numbers and places it in the slot next to it on the wheel. This process is repeated continuously for as long as the player wagers.

Outside numbers can be helpful when predicting which number will be selected next by the wheel. Generally speaking, roulette players who have more outside numbers in their combination are more likely to win money than those who have fewer outside numbers.

However, there are a few exceptions to this rule. For example, if a player has an inside number of 2 and an outside number of 8, they are not as likely to win as someone with an inside number of 3 and an outside number of 9.
