What Are the Poker Cards?

Poker cards are small, rectangular pieces of paper with symbols on them. They are used in modern bridge and poker. The cards are shuffled and cut before each hand, so that everyone has an equal chance of drawing them. The hands are played clockwise around the table, and each player holds a hand of five cards.

In bridge, each player tries to make the best five card hand possible by combining the rank and suit of the cards in their hand. In poker, players try to make the best three card hand possible by combining one pair, two pairs, or a three of a kind.
