What Are the Rules of Blackjack for the Dealer?

The dealer in blackjack is always the player with the Lowest hand. The dealer stands to the left of the player, and faces out toward the playing area.

The dealer must give each player a turn to place their bet. The dealer then deals one card face down to each player, starting with the player to dealer’s left.

Once all players have received a card, the dealer flips over the top card of their deck, and sets it in front of them. This is their remaining card (their “hole card”).

The player with the highest hand (in terms of cards remaining) wins the hand. .

If both players have the same number of cards, then the player with the higher-ranking ace (face down) wins. If both players have different cards, then a tie results, and neither player wins.

In case of a tie, both players receive a new hand and play until one player has won or lost by at least one card (a “push”). If one player still has not won after several new hands have been played, that player may either forfeit or ask for another dealer blackjack hand.
