What Are Vegas Blackjack Rules?

In blackjack, players are dealt two cards face down and must decide whether to hold (lay) or bet (put) money on the turn of the card. The player with the higher card (a Jack, Queen or 10) wins the hand.

If both players have the same card, then the hand is a draw. The basic rules of blackjack are as follows:.

– You must have at least one face up card to play.
– If you have an Ace and a two-card suit, you may put money on any other number.
– If you have a two-card suit and an Ace, you may only put money on the Ace.
– You may not double down on any bet.
– If you lose a hand, you must pay your original bet plus any additional bets placed by other players.

– If your hand is good (has at least one card that is higher than all other cards), you may stand and either receive new cards or receive chips from the dealer in lieu of new cards.
– If your hand is bad (has no card that is higher than any other card), you must either surrender your chips or draw new cards.
– There is no penalty for splitting aces; however, if you split a six or seven, you lose both hands.
– You cannot hit on a Jack or Ten; however, if another player hits on a Jack or Ten while you are holding an Ace, you may hit as well.
