What Is a Suit in Blackjack?

A suit in blackjack is a specific type of hand that is used when making a bet. A player must place at least one bet on the table, and must choose to either place a high card or a low card as the first card in their hand.

If the player has a high card, they are considered to have made a “suit” bet and are given two options: either hit or stand. If the player has a low card, they are considered to have made a “nines” bet and must either stand or hit.

A player can only make one suit or nines bet during their turn, and once they have decided which bet to place, they must keep that bet until they either hit or stand.

If the player hits, they are awarded whatever amount was wagered on the suit bet. If the player stands, they lose their original wager and any additional money that was added to that wager on subsequent cards.
