What Is AHL Poker?

The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in the United States and Canada that operates in the National Hockey League (NHL) and is one of the four professional leagues in North America. It was established in 1926 as the International-American Hockey League (IAHL).

The league was renamed the American Hockey League (AHL) in 1979. It has been known as the Providence Bruins, Rhode Island Reds, Hartford Wolf Pack, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Penguins.

AHL poker is a variation of Texas hold’em poker that is played in many American Hockey League (AHL) casinos. The game is similar to standard poker with two exceptions: players are only allowed to put down one card at a time and players can only raise their hands if they have two cards of equal value.
