Blackjack is a casino game that is played with a deck of 52 cards. The player receives two cards face down, and then the dealer deals three cards face up. The player then decides whether to place a bet (usually between 1 and 10 coins) and either draw one more card or stand ( keep the two cards). If the player drAWS another card and has an Ace, Two, or Three, they are said to have “striped” and the dealer gives them another card – this is also known as “double down” or “stand pat”.
If the player does not have an Ace, Two, or Three, they must either draw another card or place their bet back at 1 coin. Blackjack is considered a “hand” (a sequence of plays) in which the player’s goal is to achieve a higher hand than the dealer’s hand. If the player beats the dealer’s hand (either by having higher total points or better ranking cards), they win the game.
