What Is the Green on a Roulette Table?

The green on a Roulette table is a sign that the ball is in play. When the green appears, the ball is in play and can be hit by either player. The Roulette wheel has 36 slots, each of which can hold one of the six colors of ball: black, red, green, blue, yellow or white. The player who happens to place the ball in one of the slots closest to the number shown on the Roulette wheel (in this case, number 6) gets to choose which color of ball to replace it with.

The other player then has to bet on that particular color. If they are correct and the color they bet on comes up as being played, they win their bet and receive the money they put down plus any additional winnings (which would be based on how much money they wagered). If they are incorrect and the color they bet on doesn’t come up as being played, they lose their bet and receive nothing.
