What Material Is Used on Poker Tables?

A poker table is typically made out of a hardwood such as maple, cherry, or mahogany. The surface is usually finished with a layer of paint or varnish to protect it from scratches and other damage.

The table’s surface is usually divided into three sections: the “stock” area, the “pot” area, and the “dealer’s area”. The stock area is located at the front of the table and is where players place their chips before starting to play.

The pot area is in the middle of the table and is where bets are placed during a hand. The dealer’s area is at the back of the table and is where the dealer places cards during a hand.
