There are some fundamental differences between roulette played in America and Europe, but the game itself is very similar.

European Roulette

European Roulette is played with a 27-card deck, with each number from 2 to 26 counted as one unit. The player places bets on the number and color of the ball that will be spun next.

The game is played with a single round of betting, and the player who bets on the winning number receives payoff based on how many times that number appears on the Roulette table. Winning bets are capped at 36 units per bet.

American Roulette

The game is played with a single round of betting, and the player who bets on the winning number or color receives payoff based on how many times that number or color appears on the American Roulette table. Winning bets are capped at $100 per bet.
